Pay-per-lead calculator

Is Angi worth it for your business?

Angi is worth it when the jobs you win create enough profit to cover every lead you buy, not only the leads that close. Enter the lead price, monthly volume, close rate, and profit per job to calculate your break-even customers and the highest lead cost your business can afford.

new customers a month

About 15 leads a month at your close rate.

$6,000 total cost ÷ $200 kept per customer = 30 customers, spread across 6 active months.

What if your close rate changes?

At 5 out of 20, you need 21 leads a month. At 9 out of 20, you need 12.

The practical view

What are you actually paying for?

You are paying for introductions to homeowners who may contact several providers. Fast follow-up and job fit affect the result, but the decision still comes back to total lead cost and customer profit.

Example: a steady month of purchased leads measured against completed jobs. Change any number in the calculator to replace the example with your business.

Build the real total

Costs to include

Include all charged contacts, membership or setup fees, staff follow-up time, and any leads that were not credited. Measure the full batch rather than selecting only successful jobs.

Contract checks

Confirm lead filters, geographic controls, dispute procedures, spending limits, and cancellation terms in writing. Make sure the test period is long enough to measure but short enough to limit downside.

What the number means

Compare total lead cost with profit from completed jobs. A few profitable jobs do not prove the source worked if the full group of paid leads lost money.

Red flags

  • No clear process for disputing bad leads
  • Sales talk counts contacts as customers
  • A contract extends beyond your ability to test results

Questions to ask

  • Can lead types and locations be limited?
  • How do cancellations work?
  • What information is provided with each lead?

How to tell if it is working

Keep one row per lead with source, cost, response, estimate, sale, and job profit. Review the total, not a few good wins.
